Is It a RASH?

my baby is 3 months and a few weeks old and he has these little bumps all over his body on his back stomach both his arms and legs i wasnt alarmed at first just figured they were infant pimples but when they started to spread all over his body a red flag went up. has anyone else experienced this with there little one my mother in law says its a heat rash or heat bumps but im thinking other wise. HELP

  • Did he have immunizations recently or have you started giving him any kind of new food? I would call a nurses station at your ped office and ask.

  • my oldest daughter was like that when she was a baby.. had a heat rash all over her... it eventually went away

  • could be heat rash, could be an allergic reaction to your detergent, could be fifth disease, could be something else entirely... if it doesn't go away and it really concerns you, you should call the doc

  • could be hives from an allergic reaction or from a recent fever, etc, could be heat rash, could be eczema, psoriasis, etc.

    if it was milia (basically baby pimples) they would be the size and general shape of a sesame seed and typically are found on or around the face.. so I don't think it's that at all. They are typically skin colored as well.

    either way consult your doctor and keep an eye on him.. if any other symptoms develop or it worsens, take him to the ER
