How did you encourage your little one tell you when they had to go potty?

Besides consistently telling them tell mommy or daddy or whoever the adult is when you have to go potty! I'm potty training my 2 year old boy.

  • I didn't. I just kept askingtelling her to go.

It's too much responsiblity for a brain with a 10 minute attention span to remember to tell you when they have to go. They get side-tracked too easily.

At 3.5, I still have to tell her to go sometimes because she will do the pee-pee dance rather than go if she's interested in something and then theres an accident.

  • I didn't. She switched from diapers to panties at 2 1/2. For about a week I'd just ask her sometimes if she needed to pee. After that she'd just say "going potty" and take herself.
Just ask if they need to go or say "lets try to potty".
