Fruit flies

Grrr Fruit flies!!
How do i get rid of fruit flies or keep them from producing?They are soo gross.I cant have bananas,apples peaches etc for more than a day or two without a ton of fruit flies is there anything that i can do to keep them away?It drives me sooo crazy!!Please tell me there is hope!

  • They are attracted to vinegar. Put some in a bowl covered with plastic wrap, poke some holes in the plastic wrap. They go in and they can't get out. Limit how much fruit you buy until they're gone. Store fruit in plastic containers that close tightly

  • i spray them with insect spray...as long as they are away from the friut...it's funny becuz i just had a few yesterday that i sprayed...but its one more thats linging around that i cant seem to catch...

  • Get a foaming drain cleaner and pour it in all your sinks. Fruit flys breed in the bend of the water pipe. The foam expands and kills them. Keep them from coming back by NOT having dirty dishes with water in them in the sink. Banannas carry the fruit fly eggs. You can also hang a fly tape above the sink to catch them. We used the foam drain cleaner in the restaurants to kill them all the time. Works everytime to!
