Hot flashes?

Are they any reason for hot flashes other than menapause? Im 32 and I get hot flashes mainly in the morning. I would get these when i'm pregnant, but thats not the case. I had a baby six months ago so I guess it could just be my hormones still out of whack. I have had 5 kids and never experienced hot flashes prior to being pregnant.

  • You can get them with some medical conditions including premature menopause, thyroid disease and immune problems. If it continues you may want to go to the doctor to be evaluated.

  • I got them when I was breast feeding and when taking oral contraceptives.

  • I think early menopause can happen as young as 28, however I would just check in with your doctor to make sure its nothing serious.
