  • Do a sheet cake of pound cake and make buttercream frosting. YUM!!!

  • box mixes! seriously....bake them then put them in the freezer UNCOVERED overnight. frost them when they're frozen. You can do it with cupcakes too....they come out moist and soft because you froze them! google some decorating ideas depending on the theme or colors of the birthday/birthday party...gl!

  • I usually have Albertsons make my cakes.Their frosting isn't made with pounds of sugar.My favorite is their yellow or chocolate cake.

  • Betty crocker has a page on here. I have made cakes from scratch as well as the boxed mixes and if anything the box was better.

  • I usually just use the boxed kind but I also like to make zucchini cake/cupcakes. I got the recipes from allrecipies and then just kind of combined and modified them. My kids love them. Then I make homemade cream cheese frosting. I got the recipe from my Betty Crocker cookbook (it's just cream chese, butter and powdered sugar).
