Middle name Lorraine...for a boy??

I've named my kids after my sisters. Baby #4 is on HIS way.
The only sister I have left is Rebeka Lorraine.
It's only fair I name him after her cause of my others.
My oldest sister: Roberta Leighanne, My ONLY daughter: Galaxy Clover-Leane
My younger sister: Ricci Given, My oldest son: Sebastian Ricci
My middle son is named after his dad: Charles Michael, my son: Korbyn Michael
My older sister: Rebeka Lorraine, boy on the way: ??????????

The babies dad does NOT want me to name him a girl name.
I need opinions please. What do you think?? Would it be ok?

  • If it's his middle name, no one has to know. I could think of some girlier names that could cause him alot more damage.

  • OH PLEASE DON'T NAME HIM THAT. DID SHE HAVE A NICK NAME, OR MAYBE YOU COULD USE THE LETTERS OF HER NAME TO MAKE UP SOMETHING.

  • I was looking at baby name lists, and Lorraine is actually on some of the "unisex" lists. But I agree, it is kind of girly. How about something similar to Lorraine, like Lorand?

  • What about Loren? I went to HS with a guy named Loren and he never got teased (he was cute and popular)....?

  • I think Loren, like another poster mentioned, is a way to make Lorraine more masculine. This sounds completely strange, but Bekan (off of Rebeka), or Rain like another said. But LORRAINE...yes, too girly.

  • No hon, no, no, please no...too girly. A suggestion above I liked if u just want to keep the tradion "Larod " that could be a masculine name for loraine i guess.

  • How about "Laron" that's close to the name Lorraine, if not Larod. Think about it !

  • Laron is a good idea or Laradeo.....please don't use Lorraine in its original form....that would be torture to a young boy.
