  • Tell her about all the friends she would be making and all the things she will be learning, that only big girls start school

  • has she met the teacher and seen her classroom? Have you shown her around the school? Has she ever been in a 'classroom setting' or around other kids? do those things with her and explain to her how much fun school will be and how many new friends she'll meet and so on. She might be scared and sad the first couple weeks but i bet she'll outgrow it fast and will learn to love school, most kindergarteners do! :)

  • Just emphasize that she is going to make some great friends, learn new things and have lots of fun.

  • my son is pretty apprehensive about starting kindergarten too. they have a great school, he will have the same teacher his brother had last year. the teacher already told him that if he feels scared they will go get his big brother for a hug. they already get to eat lunch together and will have lunch recess together too.
my son's teacher said that once he feels safe with her and the school, then they will focus on learning.
all i can suggest for you, is to keep in close contact with the teacher and to follow the teacher's recommendations.
