how much homework do your kids do a night?

and how old are they? just trying to get ideas on how much is expected of kids in different areas... My dd is 7 and in 1st grade, so far all she's had to do is read to us 15-30min a night. next week they'll start spelling words and reading worksheets on top of that but again it'll probably only be about 30min of homework MAX a night. what about your kids?

  • At my son's school it averages 10 minutes for every grade. Plus 20 minutes of reading time a night.

  • So far my 1st grader has not had any homework. Which surprises me. She had more homework in kindergarten by this time. But we do have her read to us at night.

  • Last year my:
    Kindergartner had roughly 20 minutes/night
    2nd grader had about 30-45minutes
    7th grader had roughly 1-2 hours/night
