  • My dog used to lay on the concrete when we would let him outside, and his elbows got all calloused, but they were never red and swollen. Has your vet seen them since they've become red and swollen? You could try putting a mild lotion on them to help, but I wouldn't do anything without first talking to your vet.

  • Will she let you wrap them? Or maybe you could put socks without the foot parton her front legs.

  • My ex-mother-in-law had a dog that had the red elbows and she just kept after that dog to leave them alone. The dog had a tendency to chew at them. She also had a salve for them and wrapped them on occasion with an ace bandage or she slid a partially cut section of a sock over it.

  • you need to get her back to the vet. She can easily get an infection .. and then you have a whole new problem on your hands.
