I need some ideas for a meal for seven people...

My sister can't have beef or seeds of any kind. And it can't be too expensive.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

  • could you do a Stromboli? You could fill it with anything you want. That is very inexpensive and filling.

  • Oh shrimp scampi linguini is also inexpensive, easy and filling(really good too). You could add some homemade garlic toast(also easy, cheap and quick), a salad and you'd be good to go.

  • I often do a veggie lasagna. If you feel the need for meat you can always add soy crumbles to give the taste and texture of the beef.

My new love is a crustless quiche. I use grueyere cheese and a variety of ingredients like spinach, chili peppers, mint, mushrooms, etc. PM if you want a recipe. (I'd have to look it up.)

  • Here's a recipe for a chicken dish that feeds us 6 with food leftover

brown boneless chicken breast in some oil and garlic, any kind really and any amount you desire, cut up and set aside
boil a large bag of egg noodles, drain
steam a lb of broccoli or use a 16 oz bag of frozen
can of cream of mushroom mixed with a can of cheddar cheese soup combine with a can of milk
combine above ingredients to a large dutch oven or casserole dish, sprinkle with parsley and some pepper
bake at 350* for 30 minutes, uncovered
