  • For two months after birth yes. That allows you time to get your healthy follow up checks and (back to work if applicable) doctors release. :)

  • In some states it drops off after 6 weeks, in others you have it for a full year following birth. You'll have to check and see what it's like where you are. Here in PA, it's a full year afterwards.

  • In NC, unless you have family medicaid it cuts off after your 6 week check up.

  • You only keep it for 6 weeks in Missouri, too. They don't even give you a warning, they just close your account.

  • you keep medicaid until right after your 6 week check up with your OBGYN, after that you have to reapply, but the baby will keep there medicaid
