  • Not if you have the money to support yourself otherwise.

In some fields, unpaid internships are the norm. And just a step that must be taken in order to get your foot in the door of that particular career field.

  • If it will be used as a foot in the door for an opportunity that pays then I say go for it!

  • If an internship is required or recommended for your field, then what does age have to do with it?

  • I am 39 and have to do 2 unpaid internships for my Associate degree, 1 for my Bacherlors and 1 for my Masters. Age has nothing to do with it, it's the requirements of the degree that have to do with it.

  • Not too old. I was reading on Yahoo the other day that people in their 50's are trying for these same internships. It's a tough job market out there.

  • Dont think so.

  • Normally an internship is going to get into a better paying job so if you can swing it, I would do it! Good luck to you whatever way you decide to go!
