  • I don't know for sure but you can google laws in your state and see what comes up about grandparents rights and visitation.

  • yes they can: 1. If the parent of the child dies then the grandparent on that parents side may petition for visitation. 2. If the parents are separated they may petition to see the child, say mom has children 75% of time, dad 25%, grandparents can ask for visitation since that may not be enough time for visits, or what not. 3. If the parents of the child are living in concubinage=unmarried.

    These are all just to petition, does not mean it is automatically granted.
