2yr old hitting (piog)

So my DH and I have noticed that our son has been hitting his head a lot. Why would he do this? Should we be concerned? He does have seizures and is on meds for it, could it be from that maybe? Or is this just a normal 2yr od thing?

  • When my daughter was around that age she was doing it. When I was younger I did it, so did my sister and brother.

  • They have proven (this will sound weird) that the rocking, and evening head banging is a form of comfort for little people. They want that rocking feeling from the womb. Dr.s advise that you give your little rock star something to bang on for his energy. Buy him a little drum and let him beat it out all night and maybe he'll be too tired to head bang later. It is normal.
