Can You Do This?

Just for fun....

Imagine you had to make a menu / food plan for your family for 1 week, 3 meals & snacks. The catch? Mostly finger food, you can only use dishes at dinner time, No bread for sandwiches and no crackers.

What would you do and what would you plan?

  • Okay using chicken, ground beef or a whole turkey can give you lots of eating. For example, you can mke burgers, or use the ground beef in tacos by dividing up the package of meat into portions. My kids have always enjoyed a taco snack. Chicken can be marinated, put into a deep fryer with coating of choice, and kids can eat that either as part of a meal or as a snack with a dipping sauce almost like a McDonalds offering but you've created it. Turkey can be very versatile in using it for a taco, on a plate with potatoes, french fries, yams, turkey rice can be made out of it, turkey noodle soup, and none of these meals entail any sandwiches either. You basically need vergetables to accompany them and noodles or pasta of choosing. The beauty of all these food items is they don't necessarily need to be put on bread to taste good but if you choose to you can.

  • Sunday: breakfast-french toast sticks dunked in syrup
    snack 1-apples and peanut butter
    lunch-mini pizzas
    snack2-potato chips
    dinner- lettuce wrapped hamburgers
    Monday: breakfast-cherrioes tossed with caramel to make your own breakfast bar
    snack1- grapes
    lunch-hot dogs(no bun)
    snack2- carrot sticks
    dinner-chicken nuggets and fries
    Tuesday: breakfast-fruit bowl mix
    snack1-handful of gummies
    lunch-pizza pockets
    snack2-celery and peanut butter with raisins
    dinner-chicken pockets (chicken with various vaggies and alfredo sauce in crecent dough)

    ok, I can't think of anymore right now, lol. 3 days is pretty good though, right?
