Question about paint net (photo editing)

Can anyone give me specific instructions on how to make a watermark in paint and save it as a png file so I can reuse it? I used to have super easy directions and now I can't find them. I've looked in groups but they all make it so complicated and what I did before was much easier. Thank you for any help you can give.

  • Make a new layer. make your design, then go up to Layer, Layer Properties and lower the opacity to where you want it (I think I had it around 171). Delete the bottom layer, which should give you a transparent (gray and white checkered) background, and save it as a .png file. Hope this helps!
