How much should my baby gain?

When your preg. how much weight should your baby gain, I went to the doc. two weeks ago n he was 2 2/3 pounds, i am due dec. 24 how much weight will he gain til then? or suppose to?

  • They gain a pound a week every week after 37 weeks. Before that it's only like an ounce or so a month. So if sounds like your baby is right on track. They usually hit 5 pounds right at the beginning of month 9 and most babies are born 6-9 pounds. Good luck!

  • I believe once you get in to your third trimester its a quarter pound a week. Thats what my pregnancy book said anyways. A little reference is my son was born at almost 35 weeks and was 4 pounds 12 ounces.. right on track four weeks later and not yet at his due date he is almost 7 pounds. You sound right on track. Congrats! Let us know how big baby ends up being!
