what is a good age to start potty training & how do u know if the child is ready or not?

ok heres the deal she is 21 moths old and when she does # 2 in her diaper she will come tell me stink stink..but she dont talk much so i wasnt sure if i need 2 wait till she is talkin better or if its ok 2 start potty training

  • Nope, they do not have to be verbal to potty train. You do need to have a child with the desire to potty train though. Can she stay dry for 2 hours at a time, does she indicate to you when she needs to go.

    If you attempt potty training and she resists, give it more time. A child that is onboard with potty training will be done quicker and with less frustration than one who isn't ready yet.

  • If she can tell you she is wet or poopy. She can hold it for long periods of time. Is interested in the toilet.
