What are everyone's thoughts on using spermacide alone without a condom for effectiveness? I started to use conceptrol (nonoxynol-9). Does anyone else use this form of birth control? adult content

  • If you are trying not to get pregnant than I would use something more effective.
    If it doesn't matter if you get pregnant again then keep using it.

  • From what I understand, it's only 90 percent effective....and I've gotten prego twice on VCFs.

  • i've use the film for a while in between birth controls..it worked for us but it didnt look effective because afterwards when cleaning up it didnt look as though the film had full desolved even though we did wait the full 20 mins as the directions said

  • I think its very effective as long as it is used consistantly..every time you have sex. Sometimes in the heat of a moment and after a few coctails..some may forget,lol.
