Section 8 question

My DH and I found out today that we were approved for section 8. We are number 45 on the list. I was wondering how long it takes for the list to go down and we'd be next to receive help?

  • I agree with PP -- waaay back when we had our first child, finances were not looking too good and we were approved and got on a waiting list. Our area wait list is over 5 years and I think we were 100 something. They've stopped accepting applications since then since funds for this program are so incredibly low.

  • It depends on how big your city is. When did you apply? Here the waitlist is about 3 years long.
