  • well there are so many different ways to diet. What worked for me was reading the skinny B*tch, the language is very bad, but cutting out meat really helped me. You can pretty much eat any thing you want and you are way low on cals. But yes you just decided how many calories you think you should eat and then you count them. My husband has been very sucessful with weight watchers & they have point system

    Good Luck!

  • Just the calories. Calories from fat is just telling you how many calories are coming from fat. They are included in the total calorie count.

  • Watch portion sizes. The sizes they give you to work with are much smaller than what most of us would consider a portion size. Avoid foods with high saturation of fat, or minimize how much you eat of those. Eat a good amount of fruits and vegetables every day. Drink lots of water. Exercise when you can, that's really the best way to lose weight in the long run.

Also, don't try to lose weight too fast. If you do crash dieting, there is a much better chance of gaining the weight back than just being careful with how you eat, when you eat, and how much you eat. Cut back slowly, don't go cold turkey on anything. They say the best way to lose weight is to aim for no more than 1 lbs a week. Weight loss at that rate is considered safe and effective. When you lose it slowly, most people stick to it and keep the weight off. Depriving yourself of everything yummy will just send you back to it at some point. Good luck!
