Who gets "the" chair?

When everyone wants the same chair and one gets up to get a glass of water. Is it you move your feet you lose your seat or stay where you are unless your sure they're not coming back?

  • In our house if your just getting up to get something you can keep your seat but if your gone for longer then 10 minutes & dont come back, you lose your seat.. =) at least thats the way it was with the old recliner now its gone & all we have is our sofa & love seat. No one fights over it anymore.

  • I do not understand this way of thinking. It is very different from what I learned, and different than what I teach my daughters. We are a family. We share what we have. It is not a competition.
