1 Bump

can I go 24 hours without nursing and still have a good supply

I would like to go out for a day and my mom voluntered to watch both my girl, but I am nursing my 2 month old. She eats every 2 hrs, but I am not a good supplier when it comes to pumping. I have yet to supplement and really dont want to. If I still pump every 2-4 hrs will my milk supply still be ok when I have her back? I really dont want it to diminish.

  • If you pump when you would normally nurse, you should be okay.

  • Your supply might go down a bit....but it shouldnt really hurt it that much. Just drink plenty of water and be sure to pump at least every two hours.

  • As long as you pump, it should be okay. Just make sure you are pumping.

  • You should be just fine for one day as long as you pump every 2-3 hours! Have a fun day.

  • You should be ok if you pump right before you go out!!! Make sure you do though, otherwise your breasts are going to be leaking possibly and feeling like 2 hard rocks!!!
