money does not always lead to happiness

after seeing all these celebrities going in and out rehab, jail, I find this too be true. One celebrity who tried to kill himself. (the leading guy on the wedding crashers with the crooked nose) sometimes you kind of wonder what could be going so wrong when you can buy anything you want go anywhere on earth?? i feel they get bored with their lives or something and thats why they do drugs. (just my opinion) I remember when i was younger we were very poor and I would always wish to be rich. Now I see its not always good to be rich as crazy as this may sound. but money can turn us into something were not and do things we normally wouldnt. im happily married and were not rich by any means ( we live comfortably) and we couldnt be more happy.

  • i think you have to separate money and fame
imo..fame is what is causing most of these issues, too much money at too young of age or maturity does not help
but the fame is the biggest factor

  • Actually, there was a recent study reported that shows that money does buy happiness, but only if you make up to 75k.

  • like you say, you live comfortable so you are happy. it's when someone is too rich or too poor that they are unhappy. too much or too little of anything is bad.

  • I agree. You have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with or without money. Some people just are never happy with their life no matter what. You see it with the families that can have everything they want and still they find something to be unhappy about. Celebs are the same way. They are just unhappy people to start with and money and fame only put them in the light to see the crazy!! LOL!!

  • true, but money does add to the quality of life which does add some measure of happiness. If money was not an issue, many of us would be alot more relaxed and just do whatever we wanted.

  • It depends on the person. There are plenty of Celebrities that have money and do good things with it. Yes money can't buy you happiness, but it can sure make life easier and more comfortable. Then it is up to the individual to use it wisely and not exploit the fact. The bottom line is "busy hands are happy hands". If you are wealthy and keep busy & choose your friends wisely & instill values in your children then there is no time for negative indulgences. Working hard and appreciating what you have to show for it is the key. I think Celebrities with the most problems are the ones that surround themselves with "suck on people" who just want to bring them down but also continually tell them how great they are & that's why they keep them around.

  • We are working our way up from a small company to a huge company its slow going but we are happy on the way up its an awesome trek but we are doing the work we love and will be for the next twenty or so years so when the money comes we will already have been successful and happy on two fronts successful we were allowed to do what we want and happy doing it. So some people go to work and its the greatest thing they do and the money is just the icing on the top of the cake.
