  • No way!! Do not take it while pregnant - vicodin is a narcotic!

  • I would say no. Take a look at this website:

  • I would call your Dr/OB/Midwife before taking anything to make sure it is safe. They would know best.

  • Furthermore, you shouldn't take old prescription drugs anyway, pregnant or not.

  • Opiates cause no harm to the fetus and are not considered teratogenic (sp?). The only damage that opiates can do is addiction/withdrawal syndrome (which isn't an issue unless taken regularly) and respiratory depression from overdose (which isn't an issue unless abused). But ask your doctor just to be sure.

  • Yea I read that its only harmful if its abused, taken in 1st trimester, and baby cud go into withdrawals if used too much-which its not. But I will pass on it-Don't want to take any chances. Thanks for everyone's input!

  • See everyone is saying no. But I was perscriped vicodin while I was at home having contractions for days that just werent doing anything. I never took one because well, it ended up being time when I filled the perscribtion. And as long as its not expired it fine. But I would call to make sure though...dont go listening to people on a website, get the info from YOUR dr.
