  • My daughter is 2 right now and we were told not to take her to her first dentist appointment until she's 3. The children dentists around here (Central Florida) won't see them if they're younger than that. But at her last check-up with her pediatrician, he put this fluoride stuff on her front teeth that's supposed to help prevent cavities. It's supposed to help keep their teeth healthy until they can start seeing a dentist. Pretty neat. Wish they would've done things like that when I was younger, maybe I wouldn't have had so many problems with my teeth growing up!

  • Most dentist will not see a child before the age of 3. That is when they have the understanding to sit still and can answer simple questions.

  • 3, but they let her come when she was two for a "Happy Visit" to see that the dentist office is okay and not a scary place to go. :) they take them to meet the doctors and staff and to see where everything is.

  • 1. The dentist and the insurance company both say to bring them in at one.
