  • I think if nothing else works, then spanking may be acceptable. (Ie, if you tell them time and time again not to run out into the street, give them time outs, etc, and they just keep doing it, THEN a spanking might be in order). I don't spank my daughter, but I've given her a smack on the hand once or twice.

  • I don't care if someone else spanks their child. I don't think it's going to scrw them up or anything. But, i do not spank my child. Other forms of disciipline work wonders on her, so i never really had to spank her. I thank the lord every day he blessed me with a respectful, obedient child!!!

  • I actually believe that hitting is wrong, so no - I don't spank.

  • I spank a bit, but only with my own hand. I will never use a belt on my child or anything like that. Its too easy to hit them harder than you realize when you use something else.

  • I have spanked my oldest. Believe me, he needed it. I have never spanked my younger 2 (5 and 7). If nothing else works, then try it. It my experience, it doesn't work either.
