  • Chili
    Taco Salad
Birds Nest (Mashed potatoes, topped with Ground Beef, Veggies, and Brown Gravy)
Cowboy Casarole (Cubed Potatoes (peel if desired), Cream of Mushroom (Or chicken) Soup, Veggies. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Add Chicken, Kilbasa, or any other kind of meat if desired.)
Burgers. (Your basic or BBQ, Ranch, Cheese, or any other kind of falvored topping)
Shells and cheese. (Add cooked and drained hamburger and prepared veggies. Corn, Broccoli, Peas are the best. You can even add tomatoes.)
BBQ Meatballs over top of Mashed potatoes or Buttered Pasta.

  • I want Chili so badly but I do not have all the ingredients for it. That is what you should have.

  • pasta & meatsauce - ragu, rigatoni or spegghati - cook the ground beef in oil w/ either adobo or garlic powder, drain the oil but leave some, a nice amont and then pour the ragu in and let it all cook through for 10 minutes or so, cook your pasta, mix it all together and if you want you can side with texas toast or italian bread & butter, and dont forget the parm cheese.

  • if you have lots of left overs
    make meatloaf
you hide all kinds of stuff in there
the bags of chips with crumbs left, smash them with mallet-chips have lots of salt, no need to add to meat loaf
leftover bacon, grind it up, out in there
some left over veggies, they will never know-throw them in, the more the merrier

just do not let your child help you in kitchen that day
i learned this, step daughter (non picky eater) would not eat dinner that night
i held off on adding weird left overs the time she helped

  • Brown and drain. Add taco seasoning and the water the package calls for. Pour in a jar of salsa, mexicorn and shredded cheese. Stir. Pour into a casserole dish. Top with cornbread batter (I use Jiffy--just follow package directions). Bake according to cornbread package. Serve with sour cream. Tastes like a tamale.
