My almost 9 mo old doesn't have teeth yet, Is that normal?

She shows signs of teething for months and still no white chicklets. I can feel the teeth in her gums but don't know if it's normal for a 9 mo old not to have any teeth.

  • Later is better!! The teeth are kept AWAY from germs longer--less likely for early tooth decay. I have 5 children. ALL of them got teeth around 9 months. Also, if you are nursing, less time having to deal with TEETH biting you!! OUCHIE!! Totally normal to not have teeth til closer to first Birthday.

  • My daughters Dr. said he just had a 4 mo old in there that had 4 teeth and a 1 yr. old with no teeth. I'd assume it's pretty normal some just come early and some late
