Do corn flakes make a good baked chicken breading?

  • Yep, I've used it and buttermilk to make some amazing "oven-fried" chicken.

    Just don't use "frosted" flakes - it's too sweet!

  • I've heard they do. I've heard wheat germs works too, but is healthier.

  • I don't use corn flakes for anything. I just matter my chicken with flour, egg, and seasons. GL!

  • Yep, they are OK but I like Rice Krispies better. Crush up Rice Krispies in one bowl, beat an egg or two in another bowl. Dip the chicken in the egg then the Rice Krispies. But on a baked dish and bake at 350 for an hour. Turn them only once at 30 minutes. YUM!!!!

  • Yeah there's a recipe for it on my rice crispys box, but I"ve never tried it.

  • It depend on if you're looking for 'breading' versus 'crunch" Corn Flakes and rice krispies give a great crunch. Regular bread crumbs give the best breading.
