Do you let your teenagers have people spend the night on school nights?

I allow people over on special occasions, like parents out of town. I let my daughter stay at others house only if we have an emergency. What about you?

  • My Mom was always lenient with us. As long as she knew where we were and had a number to reach us, she was cool with whatever. But at the same time, as kids we literally didn't have any reason to hide anything from her. I can't remember ever keeping anything from her so maybe that's why.

  • We don't allow people to stay over/our daughter to stay somewhere unless their is an emergency as you mentioned.

  • No sleep overs on school nights. I have a hard enough time getting my SS up for school having him and a friend they would stay up half the night they would never get there butts up for school. If it does ever have to happen if a parent is out of town or something then that would be different.

  • No "fun" sleep overs on school nights. We have had a girl stay with us whose mom was having some emotional issues and that was no problem. Basically, the kids know they can come to us with anything and we are there for them - and their friends - if they need us.

  • Not a school night, unless it was an emergency.

  • Not unless there are extenuating circumstances.

  • Nope. Honestly I don't even like people over here on school days. It just throws off my routine and creates extra mess and stress for me.

  • No.

  • No sleepovers on school nights unless the friend had a family emergency. I also don't even like friends over on school days. My daughter is involved in so many activities there is not much time for friends on school days.
