  • We just read the Bible, explain what we are reading (you can simplify it for younger ones) and then ask questions.

  • We read from a kid's devotions book in the morning as a starter for our day. I don't do them by myself. Right now we are working on attitude because our 11 year old has a stinky one. LOL

  • My favorite morning devotion I've ever done is work through the book "The Purpose of Life". I looked up the scriptures quoted, meditated on them and prayed at the end of my study that morning. Right now I am not doing one, but would like to. I will be checking back on this questions to see what others are doing to get some good ideas on what to do or use along with my Bible of course.

  • I use a publication called Magnificat which has morning and evening prayer (a song, psalms, old & New testament reading, intercessory prayer, praise, plus a brief meditation and info on a saint), plus the scripture readings from daily mass (we Catholics have a service every day of the year, which through a three year cycle covers readings from almost the entire Bible)
