  • I encourage it! I have heard so many stories about how people were saved spiritually, and even a few cases where they were saved physically- a few suicidal people who were about to give up on life, when a JW knocks on their door :)

  • I don't llike when religious groups come a knocking, I don't like when somebody comes to my door selling me something, I don't like when anybody comes knocking on my door without an invite.

  • Oh those are the WORST! UGH!
I hate it. I am not and never will be a christian and no matter who comes to my door will convince me to become one.

  • No. I hate it. I hate anyone who disrespects my NO SOLICITORS sign.

  • Right after I had my youngest, I had a Jehovah's witness stop by. We had just got home from the NICU. Anyway, he was really nice - I explained that I was a Buddhist. About a month later, he came back and asked about the baby. Long story short, it's been over two years now, and I see them once a month. We talk about the difference between our religions, and I've never felt any pressure from them. It's almost a friendship of sorts. I'm not saying this is common - normally I don't answer the door, but thought I'd share.

  • not the ones that come but every once in a while i don't mind. once, when i was a teen, i made it interesting. JW's came to the door, my dad wasn't home, but my sister was, so we stood on the porch talking, they started witnessing, and we started throwing bible verses at them that they didn't use, some of them they looked as if they had no idea what verse we were talking about, until we had them look it up in their Bible lol...i guess they just get taught what to teach, and don't look it up and learn for themselves. they were so set in their ways though, it didn't really do any good. we did invite them to our church, but they never came. didn't expect them to, but hey, it was worth a try!
