  • Keep it simple. Fresh garden veggies and fruits that are great for all ages. Also, add cheeses and crackers, assorted.
Depending on the ages and number of guests, a seven layer salad using your favorites.

I did this and it was a hit because there was still food for the guests to munch on after the main course and everyone stayed longer.
You will always have someone on a diet, a vegetarian, or does not like barbequed meat, or is not a chip eater....so include the healthy stuff, too.

  • I am a fan of stuffed mushrooms on the grill, but I'd say maybe a nice veggie tray or salad would work well too. You are serving food that lacks a lot of nutritional value, so serving some veggies wouldn't hurt.

  • Sweet Patatoe Fries! Peel, cut into long strips, and throw into frier. Taste test but make sure cool or grease burns tongue! Another idea is celery with dip on it. Grilled carrots & sweet onions. Ham & cheese on crackers. Take a large can of chilli. Place in microwavable large bowl, place diced cheese thoughout the chilli. Put a cover over the bowl while cooking. Cook in microwave for five min or until cheese is partly cooked. Have some diced onions on the side for those who like the added taste and sour cream. Get those scoop dip chips for them to dip with for the chilli. That will be your big winner! Enjoy
