How much did you spend on school clothes this year?

And how many kids do you have to buy for?

  • We are kinda doing it in SPURTS. We bought $100 or so worth and will get more next month. Northern Minnesota, need lots of warm stuff. My son also needs dress clothes for chapel at school and dance clothes for hip hop so lots of expenses, special shoes, etc.

  • on a budget, so we try to stretch them out as long as we can and get them as we need them. Over the summer the boys went from having like 40 shirts to barely a 1/2 dozen. They grew so quick.

  • This year was a bit different because my son hit puberty and literally outgrew every article of clothing he had, so I had to buy him new everything. So far, I have spent about $350 on new shorts, underclothing, work boots (for his votech program), atheletic shoes, t-shirts & jeans, but I still need to get him casual shoes, a couple of hoodies, a winter coat, winter boots, long underwear and long sleeve shirts.

  • About $350 each on my two older children. I haven't bought the 2.5 yo fall clothes yet, but will spend about $150 getting him equipped for fall. I still need to get winter jackets for everyone.

  • About $250-$300 on each kid, 2 kids. I got them quite a bit though, and shouldnt need much for awhile. This included for dd(gr. 2) 4 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of jeans, 2 skirt/leggin/shirt/sweater outfits, 8 shirts, 2 dresses, a jacket, sweater, socks and undies. She has alot of clothes that still fit from last year, mostly shirts. DS got 5 pairs of jeans, 6 pairs of other pants, about 15 new shirts, 2 pairs of shoes, rain boots, a hoody, socks and undies.

  • I only have one child and I think I spent a little over 100 dollars. he did not need much this year.

  • $60
I have three kids. Bought most of the clothes 2nd hand and lucked out and was handed a big bag of really nice used clothes my girls picked through. If you include shoes add $120 to that!

  • We have 3 teenage boys, so it's mostly just jeans, tshirts and tennis shoes, so we probably spent about $700.00 or so. Not too bad. Our daughter in college buys all of her own clothes now.
