I have to use a pound of ground beef tonight for dinner because it has been thawed out for 2 days. I don't want to make the usual meatloaf, hamburger helper, spaghetti etc. does anyone have any different yummy recipes?? Thanks

  • Ground Beef Mexican Style

    1 pound ground beef
    1 cup salsa
    1/2 cup water
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tomato, chopped
1.In a large nonstick skillet, cook and stir ground beef until browned. Drain off excess fat.
2.Stir in salsa and water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3.Meanwhile, cook pasta in boiling water until al dente. Drain.
4.Stir in green pepper and onions, and continue simmering until veggies are crisp/tender. Stir in noodles and sour cream. Sprinkle grated cheese on top, and cover pan until the cheese melts. Sprinkle chopped tomatoes on the top, and serve.

  • stuffed green peppers, meatballs & gravy with mashed , I do not know what this dish is called but it is easy and i will just tell you how to make it

    you will need
soft shell tortillas 8 to 10 medium size, chopped into inch sqaures
    2 cups salsa
1 can of corn , drained
    1/4 cup sour cream
    brown and drain meat
add salsa and tortilla shells, corn
if this looks dry add a small amount of water and stir ( small amount would be 1/3 cup at a time)
simmer 10 minutes and add sour cream simmer another 5 minutes

  • Tacos is a good idea.Sometimes I'll make some SOS. You fry up your hamburger, then make white gravy and put the gravy in the fried up hamburger. You can either make biscuits or toast works too,to spread your hamburger over.We love it & it only takes a minute.
