What does bump mean?

I feel really stupid for asking this.

  • That someone thinks your question is good...or they don't the answer you need so they bump it up so it may get answered by someone else quicker.

  • It "bumps" your question more toward the top of the "most bumped" list. Someone "bumps" your question when they think it is worthy of more help or answers or when they have no experience with what you are asking so they help you out by giving you a "bump".

  • Don't feel stupid. You can't learn if you don't ask questions. When you bump a question, it makes it active again which moves it to the top of the list again so more people will see it & have a chance to answer it.

  • If someone really likes your post, they'll bump it for other to see! Sometimes there are just bump posts to see how many will actually bump it! lol

  • If someone likes your question, but doesn't have an answer for you, then they bump your question to the top of the pile in the hopes you'll get an answer.

  • you earn points if someone bumps one of your questions... you also earn points for bumping someone else's questions
