Fall Festival/Halloween Classroom parties?

My daughter is in First Grade. I need to come up with some fun, fast, easy ideas for her Fall Festival/Halloween Classroom party. Any ideas? What are you doing this year room Mom's?

  • How about decorate your own pumpkins? Have plain pumpkin shaped cookies, by or make orange icing so they can ice the cookies, and then have sprinkles and candies for the face and pieces of licorice for the stem.

Pin the smile (or nose or stem) on the jack-o-lantern.

Boo juice - apple juice and cranberry juice combined, maybe add green food coloring.

Hot potato - Use a big rubber spider or small gourd or pumpkin

apple dunking (if you don't think it will be too messy)

  • We also like having the mummy making contest (kids get into teams with 1 roll of toilet paper each, and have to wrap their classmate like a mummy -- using the whole roll -- best looking mummy wins).

Another fun one is guess the mess (not an official game title). Just put cooked spaghetti inside a coffee can or bag (so the kids can't see it) and have them stick their hand into the "guts" or hard boiled eggs for eyeballs, carved out spam to feel like a liver, peeled tomato to feel like a heart.
