Help my 3 month old hasnt wanted his bottle all day!

He has drank 2 bottles total since 7 this am. He acts hungry and chews everything but when i give him his bottle he spits it out. I have tried making a new bottle and it didnt seem to matter, the other bottle wasnt old either. My niece took her self off formula completly at 5 months, she is now 8, this is how i remember he acting.
I dont know what to do, i dont want to give him anything else.

  • taking themselves off bottles at 5 months/ 3months old?? huh. that's a new one. Maybe your baby is teething. THat's what my son would do when he was teething.

  • She woundnt drink formula after 5 months, theres no way to force a child to drink or eat anything. She grew up just fine and it was only a month before the recomended food age. The dr was also fine with her going to foods, Wic is the only one that fought about it. She turned out healthy and perfectly fine.

  • What about trying a Nuby sippy cup? It has a soft spout like a bottle nipple. Maybe that will work for you.

  • I don't think he's taking himself off bottles at 3 months. Maybe his throat hurts. Or doesn't like the nipple. Did you change formulas?

  • It kind of sounds like teething to me. Any swollen gums? Any fever? Constipation could cause that behavior too. I wouldn't worry too much though, when they're hungry, they will eat. Just keep offering and comforting. Another factor could be your stress too. Babies sense tension in their mothers.

  • Could it be reflux?

  • Nik, Hailey was 5months when on regular food, and 9months off bottle and formula... He might be just teething.

  • I agree he may be teething or something else bothering him. I switch bottles too just in case he dont like that one anymore.
