Has anyone used the Subway or McDonalds cards that you can put money on for use at those restaurants for your teens to use, especially during their sporting seasons?

I was wondering if they came in handy and possibly a better way to go about it than just giving them money to use at their discretion?

  • I requested pre-paid credit cards through my bank for my traveling kids. My son is in college now and he buys his school books and dorm supplies with the same card. Sometimes, I have them pay for a meal or groceries so they are not credit illiterate.

  • My son doesn't play sports, but he also doesn't eat McDonald's or Subway. I would most likely pack him food like sandwiches and stuff.
