  • i've has a subaru for 15 yrs, so I'm partial to them, it's been a good car, and thwey are great in the snow.

  • I would look at the Kia's - they're the one with the 10 year warranty aren't they? I like VWs too, but they are a little more expensive.

  • I would get a Hybrid. The gas savings alone make it worth it. IF that is out of budget, I would get a Hyundai or a VW...but the VWs are $$$ compared to a Hyundai

  • I got a Nissan Cube recently. I'm not sure if it's considered a car, suv, van or what. It's small, good on gas, small, and has plenty of room inside.

  • From what I've heard you'd have to own a hybrid for 12 years before it was worth the extra money. I don't have a link to info though. if you are really interested it would be a good idea to do a lot of research. My Cube averages 30 mpg in town. About twice what I was getting with my old car, a 78 chevy malibu. I do miss the V8 sound though!
