  • Eat organic food - saves lots of money on doctors
Work from home and take care of my kids at the same time - saves me 1500 on daycare
I quit smoking 2 years ago - probably saved me 3600 since.

  • Well, first off, I switched stores to a company that does NO advertising, and redirects the money usually spent on distribution and middlemen into better ingredients and rewards for loyal customers. (just ask me :)

2nd we trade labor for food! (LOL we grow most of our own food)

3rd when I shop, I stock up on non-perishables when they go on sale.

and lastly, I buy EVERYTHING on our rewards mastercard - we earn 1% in free groceries, so, for instance, when we bought the train tickets to go out west, that was over $80 in free groceries! - but it is paid off in FULL BEFORE THE DUE DATE.
