my teeth hurt... i brush and floss but since getting preg they feel horrible... solutions?

  • you need more calcium, talk to your doctor about a cal supplement, drink LOTS of milk, eat yogurt, cheese, etc... and have u been to the dentist recently? might be time for a check up, i know they can't do any MAJOR dental work during pregnancy but they can at least make sure you don't have any big cavities or something more serious. Pregnancy and BF'ing sucked the calcium right out of me and by the time i had my 3rd my teeth are so messed up i had to have one pulled and still need several other fillings :( its not something every baby book talks about but i know MANY people who have had tooth problems from pregnancy :-/

  • See your dentist. Pregnancy is hard on teeth and gums. I brushed several times a day, and rinsed with Listerine. I also did a warm salt water rinse two to three times a day.
