New Question Since I'm Tired of the Obama/McCain Stuff - California Voters Prop 4 and Prop 8? Yes or No.

Prop 4 - The initiative would prohibit abortion for unemancipated minors until 48 hours after physician notifies minor’s parent, legal guardian or, if parental abuse has been reported, an alternative adult family member.

Prop 8 - The measure was submitted for the ballot by petitioners with the title "California Marriage Protection Act." Provides that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.

  • So far, I'm leaning for Yes on 4 and No on 8. But I do research all the way up to the time I vote so my decisions may change.

  • Generally, I vote against initiatives on principle. I believe half of California's problems are due to legislation by initiaitve.

Philosophically, I'm opposed to both initiatives anyway.
