what is better

milk or juice to give a child to drink.

  • Milk in moderation and then water. They only need like 24-32 oz of milk in a day but you can get the calcium from other foods and not need milk at all and juice is not needed at all.

  • I would say milk but in all honesty it's better for them to drink more water than milk or juice.

  • i prefer milk and water for my boys. There is a lot of sugar in juices.

  • Milk. My pediatrician says to limit their water intake. They don't need a lot right now.

  • this is a big debate in my family. My SIL thinks milk is better for the calcium but my mom disagrees because of the calories and fat. My aunt chooses juice because she says most kids dont get enough fruits and vegatable (i make my own when my son gets juice, no added sugar). I'm sick of being stuck bewteen my family on this issue so i just wanted to see where the CM ladies stand.
