  • yea we did the first time we moved like 500 miles away and the second time we were having trouble with the company and they wouldn't fix anything and so we told them we were moving and it hasn't seem to affect us any.

  • Yes, but my husband is in the military and due to a change of station we had to move. We always make sure our lease has a military clause allowing us to move if we get orders.

  • I did (got a new job 200 miles away), I had to either find a tenant or pay out the remainder of my lease. I was lucky and found someone to move in. Some leasing companies won't allow you to do that, you have to see what your contract says.)

  • Yes, when I was in the Navy and got orders to a new location. Then we broke our lease when we bought our house. The apartment was just temporary until we found a house.

  • Did they take any legal action against you? I mean, aside from making you pay the remainder of the lease until it was up or until someone else moved in?
