3 Bumps

3 people shot so far thanks to Floridia Idiot

How much more blood will he have on his hands before it's all over?

"Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets across Afghanistan over plans, now on hold, by a small Florida church to burn copies of the Koran.

Three people were shot when a protest near a Nato base in the north-east of the country turned violent.

President Hamid Karzai said the stunt insulted Islam while Indonesia's leader said it threatened world peace."

  • It really did threaten world peace, especially happening during Ramadan & it being Eid today - I think that really aggravated it.

  • It's all ridiculous. I understand what he did was wrong and disrespectful, but really...people need to let it go. There are idiots everywhere, why is this one getting so much attention? That's no excuse for killing people, and I'm sorry, but what he did shouldn't drive people to kill each other. That's not a normal response to something like that, and it's not justified. It's all been blown insanely out of proportion.

  • He shouldn't even be allowed to be in a church.

No matter how bad the 9/11 attacks were, there's no need to put the US in more danger. He's a idiot, and I hope he knows that God probably is NOT happy with him.

That, and not all Muslims are bad. There's always a few bad apples of every kind.

  • Now watch all the idiots say "See what those violent Muslims are like"? MN rep Keith Ellison had a really good point about this: DFL Rep. Keith Ellison spoke with MPR's Tom Crann this morning about the controversy over a Florida pastor who wants to hold a Quran book burning on the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, says Muslims in this country and elsewhere shouldn't "take the bait." He's worried there will be violence that would just play into the stereotypes that led to the Quran burning in the first place.

The whole interview is worth listening to.

  • Bleh, just caught the typo, that should say "Floridian Idiot" though I'm guessing it's obvious. Just figured I should mention it before one of his defenders decides to play grammar nazi.

  • I just don't get why the entire world cares so much about a tiny congregation in Florida.

Because thousands have joined his "virtual congregation" online in support and it's spreading. Other churches have signed in to burn Qurans at other locations. It's not just about him anymore, he's just the new representative of hate.

That's exactly why the media and everyone else shouldn't have given these extremists the recognition that they did.
