How do you diet?

I am trying to loose some weight but only like 10 - 15 lbs. I am not trying to do an extreme diet one that me and my family can do together. My hubby is a little chunky lol cause I cook to much food for him. So any ideas please let me in on the 411 lol :)

  • I don't. I read some where that if you want to cut portions use a cup saucer plate. Stick Out Tongue

  • skinless chicken breast, lean red meat, brown rice, sweet potatos, veggies, oatmeal, eggs, whole wheat bread, etc....

  • I don't diet. I refuse to diet because I love food. However, I think a great way to "diet" is to eat what you want but in moderation. However, drinking water helps. Eating oatmeal once a day helps too (the real stuff) and you can add brown sugar, peanut butter and other things.

  • I don't eat white food... I eat brown rice, whole wheat tortillas, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta... I also cook everything from scratch, I don't use boxes.

  • cut out soda, refined sugars, white carbs. Replaces with tons of water, lean meats (turkey, chicken, fish) MOUNTAINS of fruits & veggies. I ate 6 small meals a day. I work out at least 1 hour a day, 6 days a week. I allow myself treats, but in moderation. If I want cookies, I have 2 not the whole batch.

  • I use portion control,healthy foods and only eat when I'm really hungry, not when the clock tells me.

  • i do portion control and calorie counting. www.livestrong.com has a wonderful feature that lets you see your calorie count and manage carbs, exercise, and sodium all on one system called my plate. I lost 40lbs/ made my goal but i still monitor my calories/ exercise to maintain my wieght.
