  • this is going to be different for every child. my oldest got her teeth early, about 3 1/2 months. My younger two got theirs and 6months 2 weeks and 6 months 1 week. But I also know a lady whose son didn't get his first tooth until he was 18 months.....

As 3lilgems stated each child is different.... Generally they have at least some teeth by their first B-day.

  • Teething can start months before any teeth actual cut through the gums. My son started teething around 4 months but didn't get a tooth until 7 months. Babies should get a total of 20 teeth - 10 on top and 10 on the bottom. They should have a full set by the time they are 2 to 2-1/2 years old. But they come in at their own pace. My cousin was born with 2 teeth. Weird!

  • Every child is differnt. My daughter didn't get hers until she was 3 months. I've heard of babies being born with a few teeth.

  • Teeth has a HUGE range for "normal".
A few babies are born with a tooth or two, some don't have any when they turn one. All children should have some by 18 months and should 16 to 20 by age 2.

  • My son got his first tooth at 4 months... our neighbor's daughter had ONE tooth when she turned 1. It's different for all kids.
