Could my three year old still be teething?

My three year old has been a grump today. I thought that he was getting a cold with runny nose and little fever. But then he has been chewing on his fingers and drooling again. its like teething all over again. I am confused as what to do to help him.

  • I am not sure I didn't think so, but I am not possitive either. Maybe he is late getting his 2 year old molars? I don't know sorry.

  • I thought that he got his two years but now I don't remember. He was teething like a year straight so it didn't stop until almost two and a half . Now its like the same thing but then my mom just said maybe his throat hurts and he is comforting himself by sucking his fingers and thats producing drool. I think I am going to call the nurse line since its friday and I don't want to pay for the out patient clininc this weekend.

  • Does he have all of his teeth yet? If not, then it's possible.

And there are no "3 year molars". There's 1st and 2nd, although the 2nds can come in after they turn 3.

  • yes... kids get teeth and can get them at any age really... have you seen a dentist? the dentist should be able to let you know what teeth your kiddo has and what to be expecting still...
